Ferndale Band completes an exciting tour in Southern California...

Members of the Ferndale Band returned home from California with many stories and memories from four days of non-stop activities. You might hear them talk about walking down Hollywood Boulevard, marching down Main Street Disneyland, recording a Disney soundtrack, or body surfing at Balboa Beach. They will tell you they learned many important things - sight-reading is important in the movie industry, sometimes it’s faster to take the stairs, reapply sun-block more than once a day, etc. With all the complications that can happen with 46 students traveling 1500 miles away, the trip went amazingly smooth. The students are to be commended for the professional nature in which they represented the Ferndale School District. We hope to have DVD of the trip available by the end of the school year so that the memories will last even longer.
