Wendy Lynch

Wendy Lynch is currently the senior staff member for the Ferndale High School Band and Color Guard. She has served as a color guard instructor for Ferndale for 12 years dating back to the fall of 1992. Wendy is also an alumnus of the Ferndale program having been a member from 1988 to 1992. She served as the guard captain for the color guard in 1991 and 1992.

Throughout the past 12 years, Wendy has continually guided the Ferndale Color Guard to being one of the elite performing groups in the western region of the United States. Under her direction, the Ferndale Performance Ensemble has been undefeated in local competition since 1993. This streak is highlighted by a 5th place finish in the Scholastic A class at the Winter Guard International World Championships in Dayton, OH.

In addition to her roles at Ferndale, Wendy has worked with the Seattle Cascades Drum & Bugle Corps of Shoreline, WA, Pacificaires Winter Guard of Surrey, B.C., Full Circle Winter Guard of Seattle, WA, South Western High School of Hanover, PA, New Oxford High School of New Oxford, PA and various other high school color guard programs around the Pacific Northwest.

Wendy has a broad higher education background. She has earned an AA degree at Whatcom Community College and a cosmetology license from Bellingham Beauty School. Wendy has also attended Western Washington University and Bellingham Technical College. She is presently half way through her bachelor’s degree at Western Washington University.

Outside color guard, Wendy is an active youth group leader at her church. She is also the substitute coordinator for the Ferndale School District. Wendy resides in Ferndale, WA with her husband Brian and her cat named Zoey!
